1815 - John Mason Tilford is born (U D Archives, Uncataloged Document).
1840 - Joseph Park and John Mason Tilford found a retail
establishment that specializes in high quality import
goods, perfumes and liquor (Beverage Media Blue Book,
History of Park and Tilford).
o - John Tilford is the son of a clergyman in Washington
County, New York.
Joseph Park is the son of a Westchester County farmer
(Bev. Med. Blue Book, History).
o - They started the business with $105.00 cash and $500.00
credit (Bev.Med. Blue Book, History).
1845 - John Tilford marries Jane White (U D Archives, Uncataloged Document).
1866 - Firm opens its second store in New York (U D Archives, Uncataloged Document).
1873 - Firm opens its third store in New York (U D Archives, Uncataloged Document).
1890 - Park and Tilford is incorperated with Joseph Park as
President and John Tilford as Vice President. Their
sons served as directors (Bev. Med. Blue Book,

1891 - John M Tilford dies on Jan. 7, 1891 (Wine and Spirits Bulletin, Jan. 1891).
circa 1895 - Both founders have died and Hobart Park sells his
shares to the Tilfords. Frank Tilford becomes President
(Bev. Med. Blue Book, History).
1911 - The 1911 Mida's Financial Index list Park and Tilford as Grocers and Foriegn Agents located at 917-19 Broadway, New York City with a capital value of $750,000 to $1,000,000.
o - The 1911 Mida's Financial Index also list the following addresses and capital values for these distilleries: Bonnie Bros. (Inc.), 125 W. Main St., Louisville, Ky. Dy. No. 6, 5th Dist., Louisville. Hamburger Distillery (Ltd.) 706-8 Arrott Building, Pittsburg, Pa. Dy. No. 7, 23rd Dist., Brownsville, Pa.
1923 - Frank Tilford sells the company to David A Schulte

1925 - David Schulte purchases the Old Overholt and Large distilleries in Pennsylvania (Fortune, Nov., 33).
1927 - David Schulte sells the Old Overholt and Large distilleries to National Distillerie (Fortune, Nov., 33).
1938 - Park And Tilford opens an office in Louisville at 1150
Starks Building (Louisville City Directory, U of L
Archives).
o - Park and Tilford acquires the Bonnie Bros. Distillery in Louisville (U D Archives, Uncataloged Document).
1940 - Park and Tilford acquire the Hamburger Distillery at Brownsville Penn. (U D Archives, Uncataloged Document).
1941 - Park and Tilford acquires the Krogman Distillery at Tell City, Indiana and the Woodford County Distillery at Midway, Kentucky (U D Archives, Uncataloged Document).
1942 - Park and Tilford acquires the Owings Mills Distillery at Gwyn Falls, Maryland (U D Archives, Uncataloged Document).
1949 - David A Schulte dies. His sons Arthur D and John S
become President and Vice President of the company
