Van Winkle Lot B. This year's Lot B seems much smoother than last year's. Excellent pour.

Happy New Year,

Redbreast 12YO Cask Strength. Incredible. I challenge all you bourbon lovers out there to try this one. I am a bourbon guy, first and foremost, but this on is spectacular.

Wild Turkey 101. Picked up two bottles for cheap, $13.99/750ml. What's not to like here? It's good strong bourbon the way I like it.

Cracked open one of the weller 12 yr tonight. Local shops finally got some in stock along with OWA. Ended up buying everything on the shelf. 4 bottles of Weller 12 yr ($29.00 each) and 3 bottles of OWA ($28.00 each). Happy with the price I paid considering one shop quoted me 39.99 each and another had the weller 12 yr on their website for $115.00 a bottle.

Ok. Getting back in topic. Call me crazy but I thought the WT 101 I had last night had less burn than the weller 12yr. Still new to this but for the first time, I could actually pick up on some fruit when nosing. Previously, all I ever picked up was either vanilla, caramel or butterscotch. Can't tell which it was.

Howdy,

Old Forester Signature. At $24+ TT&L, it's the best value to be had in my neck of the woods. Love that big Vanilla finish. Once my bottle is half empty, one gets a huge, wonderful hit of Butterscotch on the "nose". Great Winter night cap! Baker's is better, but it costs roughly double the amount. YMMV.

Some Jim Beam Signature. Good stuff, but if I'm going to spend that kind of money on a Beam product, I'll go a little higher and get Baker's
