You can vote for more than one?

How are 3 brands "the best"?

Cause I said so................well, OK, that is not a good reason.

The reason is that there is really no single best (opinions will vary) and by offering three choices we can arrive at a number that gives us a better idea of which comes closest to being a favorite (backhanded 'best') among the BE participates............theoretically it could be a brand that was not a first choice by anyone.

I chose Wild Turkey, Brown-Forman and Barton for cosistancy of product through the years, affordable cost for the quality you get and all around awesomeness.

We only recently got Four Roses in Texas so i have no experience with them, and Heaven Hill is too hard to keep up with with their plethera of labels and the pre-post fire debate.

I only like brands that actually distill their own for this debate. Anybody can pick a good bourbon to bottle, but the hat has to go off to the producers who do it year in and year out and can make a consistant product for decades.

Ok, then should I vote again and add 2 more selections?

I chose BT, KBD and VW in that order.

I would have picked VW first in the past but they are pricing me out of the marked for my everyday shot. Have gone to weller and think it is much the same my guess (not knowing anything like many of you seem to know) is that the VW is just a process of hand picking barrels of the Weller and rebranding it at a much higher cost. It isn't unti you get to the 20 and 23 yr old VW that there seems to be a real difference. From what I have told even that difference could or anyway may soon be gone in a year or so maybe a little longer even in the 20 and 23yr VW. That could happen even quicker if they sould start blending the BT juice in with the old to make ti last longer.

You betcha, unless you are classifying S-W juice as a stand alone "Van Winkle" product. Except for the 20 y/o that is all a moot point. Pollsters beware.

VW, 4R, and KBD because with some exceptions for WT and RHF (BT) those are the brands I keep coming back to this summer.

There is no distributor for Barton or KBD where I live (MA) so I don't get
these often. I imagine others have similar experiences? If so, might this
not skew the results?

So the poll was based on actual facts like statistics and awards won and not our personal opinions of our favorites? Very confusing! If these polls are based on the statistics and not opinion, I don't want to play anymore!

mozilla wrote:My opinion was....Best, stood for Best products put out on the market. KBD has very interesting products. Barton has only come out with 1792.

Now, if you are talking Best Value....Barton is the winner hands down, IMO.

Well if you ain't tried'em, how can you compare'm? My opinion is....Best, stood for BEST of which of Barton is #1 in my cabinet, as is Brown-Forman and Wild Turkey a close 2nd. I can't have an opinion on somethin' I ain't tried. It don't compute! :bounce:
