Yep, Mike nailed this one. Maker's is a great way to get started i bourbon because its smooth and easy to drink; a safe choice that is available every where. Compared to other bourbons in its price range, it comes up a bit short.
MM is far better than any youngish 80 proofers though. Me thinks alot of makers gets dumped in Coke or Ginger Ale, and thats cool for those people.
I am the proud owner of a 90 proof 1.75 bottle of Makers, got it during the 84 proof scare last month, guess I was duped, but will drink it and serve it to company as I see fit.
