Died: Frankfort, Ky., 18 November, 1872
Married: Margaret Wood, 1854
Children: Leslie and William A. (Leslie married a Crutcher)

Companies Associated with: Gaines, Berry and Co.
W. A. Gaines and Co.

Brands Associated with: Old Crow
Hermitage

Contributions to the Industry: With Paris, Allen and Co. of New York, Made Old Crow the most
respected Kentucky Bourbon of the 19th century.

Contributions to the Community: Helped the city of Frankfort, Ky. to get gass streetlights
Put in water collecting cisterns to aid fire fighters in
Frankfort.

I thought so as well.

I have been putting these "who was who" post here as I do research on people at work, usually as an answer to a genealogical question sent by email. It saves me time in the long run because I usually get questions about the same people and I can just send them here to look.
