Review from JoeBourbon (BourbonEnthusiast Review ID 302, Created:20051027075304, Updated:20051027080803) | Purchased at: | From a half empty bottle purchased from member of this forum | | Purchased for: | 17.00 | | Info on this bottle: | This was one of the newer full label bottles. For lack of better place I put it here. | | Nose: | Not able to discern anything special. Nothing jumped out at me. The nose was pleasant however. | | Taste: | Nice balance of fruit, oak and alcohol. This was tasted against WT Kentucky Spirit SB. The nose and taste is virtually identical to the Kentucky Spirit. | | Finish: | Nice, medium length finish. | | Overall: | This is a good bourbon but I would not pay the going price (65+) for another bottle. The Kentucky Spirit is a dead ringer for this one and Russell's Reserve 101 is its equal IMO. |

Review from bourbonv (BourbonEnthusiast Review ID 140) | Purchased at: | Liquor store near Elkton Maryland | | Info on this bottle: | Standard bottle from liqor store | | Proof Of this Bottle: | 101 | | Nose: | Honeysuckle flowers with a little oak and vanilla. Some green mint hiding in the background. | | Taste: | Warm on the toungue but quickly giving away to caramel toffee and ripe apricotss with a hint of nutmeg and cinnamon spice. | | Finish: | Spicy sweet with caramel and other candy flavors slowly changing over to oak wood, but no smoke or char. Long lasting and pleasant. | | Overall: | This was truely a great product. If you find a bottle, buy it, drink it and look for some more. |
