Unread postby RandyG » Fri Sep 14, 2012 12:35 pm

Just wishin everyone a happy and safe time at the festival this year. I had planned on bringing my dad down there this year but couldn't find a hotel. I'll plan a little ahead next year so we will see you then. Have a great time.

I was there for about two hours Saturday. It was fun, lots of booths and it was like a small town festival. Toured the Oscar Getz museum for free and that was a high light.

I met fellow bourbon enthusiast JL Thompson who wrote a book on bourbon with lots of reviews. I like it, he did a good job. My only gripe is that he didn't review Fighting Cock, but thats okay, I'm one of the leading experts on Fighting Cock bourbon as I studied it with great effort the past two years, I probably has studied 12 bottles of Fighting Cock in that time. I might study a shot of it later today.

Good. Then you saw some of my bottles in there, especially in the Michter's section.

Wow, the General shure fills up fast. Just tried to reserve a room during the festival for 2013 and they are already booked. Guess I will try some other hotels or put in for a cancellation request at the General.

Cheers,
