I've heard conflicting reports on the recipe. Is it the same as Knob Creek or no? Anyone have an idea?

From what I understand, Jim Beam, the producer of both Old Grand-Dad (86, Bottled in Bond 100, and 114) and Knob Creek, kept the rye-heavy mash bill that has been used for Old Grand-Dad since National Distillers made it until it was bought by Beam in 1987. It is different from the regular Beam mash bill that is used for Knob Creek and other Beam products.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, gentlemen.

Jim Beam makes two mash bills. The heavy rye mash bill original to Old Grand Dad is used for Old Grand Dad and Basil Hayden. The Beam mash bill is used for Knob Creek.
