Hi all! I'm new here, looking for some direction.

Can anyone recommend a good place to buy and sell old and rare whiskey? I used to find all kinds of great stuff on eBay, but since they shut down alcohol sales there is a void. Any recommendations for another venue to buy and sell direct with people?

I've had some limited success on Craig's List, but you never know what you're getting and you have to sift through piles of junk to find anything.

Me? No, I'm not really interested in rare or difficult to find whiskys, I can be quite content with current production, but if I came across something highly desirable I wouldn't buy it unless the seller was licensed. An unlicensed sale is illegal and I wouldn't want to risk forfeiture.

I've had some luck at yard sales, flea market sales, and antique shows.
Even found some full pre-prohibition bottles but I do miss ebay.

Yeah, that's pretty much where I'm at as well. It just doesn't give you the long reach of the internet though unfortunately.

Skinner's and Bonham's are two auction houses that buy and sell old bottles of whiskey. They will even appraise bottles for you too.
