Don't know that one John (Pepper), thanks for the tip. Wonder why the profile would be different from the others. Is it not 95% rye? Or might it be longer-aged than the others?

It's 90% rye and 100-proof.
With all the old Maryland and Pennsylvania ryes we've shared, I think you'll really like this. I do.
Keep an eye out for it. Not sure how long it will take to get to Canada; you might have to pick some up when you're down for the KBF preview.

I picked up 3 bottles of Knob Creek Reserve and 2 bottles of Bulleit Bourbon. Reason - value priced @ $27 and $17. Discontinued items sale (1/2 off). I will be going back for more today.

I tried the Bulleit and it's very good, it displays the Four Roses style nicely and $17 makes it the lowest priced Four Roses I've had the pleasure to buy. Fruity and spicy with a creamy (vanilla) mouth feel, just fine and simple sippin' bourbon. The Knob Creek Reserve isn't high on my line-up to try, but I'm glad I was able to stock up at that price.

not booze but I found an Evan Williams bar mirror, at a flea market. I assume from 70s, the bottle is a 4/5 quart.

OWA107 (I don't have to explain this)
Rittenhouse Rye 100 (haven't seen a bottle in a while and it was the last one on the shelf)
Johnny Drum 15 Year old Private Reserve (had not seen this before, turned bottle over and it had a '04' bottling date on it, so I suspect a case surfaced in the backroom or something, 15 year old hooch for $37 in 2013, I had to give it a go, any comments?)

Well, you're the one with the whiskey; it's you who needs to posts comments. Have you opened and tried it yet?

Where'd you find the bottling date? I have a bottle of this, but the only numbers on the bottle are the size (750ml, not 5th gal) and "76.5" which is certainly not related to the year. I don't think it's really all that old (the bottling, not the 15 year age), but the governent "don't drink if you're pregnant" warning was overstuck onto the label. That warning statement requirement began in 1989, but my bottle might have been filled originally for overseas sale (KBD did a lot of that before the late '90s) and then re-labeled for domestic sale. The alcohol statement is printed as 50.5% ABV (with 101 proof printed on the side of the label), so I'm thinking it is a much newer bottling than it looks. I don't remember when I got it, but it was awhile ago. I do think they're currently marketed though.

Of COURSE I've tasted mine! But I won't tell 'til you do :D

I got the 2004 date from the stampings on the bottom of the bottle, the one on the right lower side is "04". I know various heaven hill bottles use this code (someone mentioned this to me I don't recall who).

I am not going to try it tonight, dinner is kinda kicking up a fuss in my gut right now.

No problemo!
Is your's the squat bottle with gold wax?
I've always suspected that it was bottled for Asian markets because the printing font looks so much like Asian electronics manuals :)

I brought home Rowan's creek this weekend and it was a rye heavy mashbill which isn't my favorite but it is a very good bourbon none the less. Good mouthfeel and nice finish really made it a good purchase.

So my friend who is not a drinker got a sealed Jim Beam 100 Month Model T 4/5 quart Decanter from 1974 and offered me the contents.
Unfortunately sealed doesn't mean there is any fluid in it :(
total evaporation.

Fighting Cock. I was in LA for 5 days and needed something for a nightcap. Bevmo didnt have much but they did have FC for $18 per 750ml. I only got thru half the bottle, but its better to have too much than not enough. They didn't have hardly in pints, so a 750 was the way to go. The selection was poor compared to Louisville KY.

Hotel bar only had Knob Creek at $8 buck for a stingy pour.
