Lost Prophet

Unread postby JvW » Fri Apr 17, 2015 9:32 pm

Evening Everybody,

new to the forum and have a small collection of some nice bourbons ($25-$100/bottle) at home.

I am out of town for work and do have a chance to pick up a bottle of LOST PROPHET for $200; do you think that this particular one is worth the money? I like to think that eventually (maybe years down the road) I would tab into what I consider my finer ones, therefore not hang on to them until I fall over. For now I enjoy a Weller Antique or a Noah's Mill in the evening.

I read lots of positive and some negative on the Lost Prophet; wondered what people's opinion on the price is.

Regards,

Jan

I can get a bottle of Barterhouse 20 year old for $75. I think $200 for Lost Prophet is a little too high but I've never had it.

I am not a fan of Lost Prophet and would never pay $200 for it.

This guy says its not worth it: https://www.bourbonbanter.com/bourbon-w ... on-review/

I think you can get several great bottles of something else instead. I could get between 5-8 bottles of delicious bourbon for that kind of cash. :D

For my tastes Bourbon peaks between 6-8 years so I have no interest in the overage stuff.
