EC 12 yr vs. Old Forester signature

Howdy,

Over the last year or so, OF signature has become my favorite "affordable" pour at $26+ tt&L here in La. Recently I've come to appreciate Elijah Craig 12 yr for $3-$4 more. EC12 has a pleasant, deep "nose"; lots of floral notes and abundant Cherries. But for my money , OFS is a better Bourbon, especially after it's had some time to open up (When the bottle is 33% empty or so). I give the edge to OFS. What about you?

PS: OFS's "nose" when half-empty is the richest, most wonder Butterscotch & Caramel I've ever enjoyed. And it's finish? A sweet, lingering Vanilla and spice.

Both excellent for the price, to me the nod goes to Old Forester Signature.

I think both bourbons are excellent but for my money I would choose EC 12

I've certainly had my share of both over the years though neither recently so perhaps I should get a bottle of each for research purposes.
