Have you ever found one or more bottles of discontinued bourbon in your local "likker" stores?

First post on the site, have been lurking for months.

I haven't really found a "stash" of discontinued bourbon but I have found:
1.) Some Old Fitzgerald 1849, which I understand is being discontinued
2.) Eagle Rare 10 that has the "Single Barrel - 10 Years" band on the neck, unlike the newest bottling which just has silver stars
3.) A sample bottle of Elijah Craig 18 year which is about 2/3 full, hidden in the sampling area. I try a sample every time I'm there. The employee laughed at my offer to take it off their hands.

I would love to stumble onto a treasure trove of truly discontinued stuff though...

I just bought 8 bottles of Wild Turkey Rare Breed, the 108.2 proof bottling. It's the best bourbon IMO. And it seems that WT has phased it out for the new 112 proof expression.

So bummed.

many people, myself included, think the new WTRB is far better than the 108 batch. Used to be, I wouldnt buy the 108, but i love the 112.
