WT101 makes a great bourbon benchmark. There are many better than WT101, but there are far more that are not up to the standards of WT101, even though they may cost 3-5x more money. At $20, it's worth a purchase regardless, plus, 100-101 proof bourbons are right in the middle of most proof offerings, which range from 80-120's.
The 10 year old Evan Williams Vintage Single Barrel is also a supurb bourbon at a great price. To me this is Heaven Hill's best tasting bourbon.
