I live in the dessert with 0 degree winters and 110+ summers and wheaters don't appeal to me in that hot of weather. I enjoy WT in any weather, neat or on ice, in coke or ginger ale, etc. and it is affordable and damn good tasting. It isn't too complex but there are still a few layers. Really a very well balanced bourbon and that's why it's my go-to

WT101 makes a great bourbon benchmark. There are many better than WT101, but there are far more that are not up to the standards of WT101, even though they may cost 3-5x more money. At $20, it's worth a purchase regardless, plus, 100-101 proof bourbons are right in the middle of most proof offerings, which range from 80-120's.

I second this. A great tasting bourbon at a great price.

I concur, and find todays no-age-statement 86 proof expression far better tasting than the previous 7 year old 90 proofer. :) The 10 year old Evan Williams Vintage Single Barrel is also a supurb bourbon at a great price. To me this is Heaven Hill's best tasting bourbon.

I knew the turpentine photo was a joke right off the bat...man, that retort gives new meaning to the words...lighten up. But I am happy for you that you can spend 300 on a bottle of cognac, it was so gentlemanly of you to share that with all of us.
