Unread postby bourboNcigars » Thu May 15, 2014 1:13 pm

i was listening to whiskycast 2 days ago and it made me want to go to binnys just to look around, well i kept hearing so much about how OGD114 is one of the better bottom shelf bourbons so at $19.99 i picked it up along with a bottle of elijah craig for $24.99, anyways is it just me or does OGD114 smell exactly like bookers bourbon? i have not tasted it yet i will tonite after work..im hoping it taste very much similar as well for the price of a bookers i can get 3 bottles of OGD114 for only $5 more over 1 bottle of bookers

the smell? I dont know, I currently dont have any OGD114 here, but I do have Booker's.

OGD114 has it's own profile, rather unlike anything comparable, to me. Booker's has it's own taste too, bu I find KCSB to be very similar to Booker's, and $10 cheaper. I find OGD114 and Booker's to tast nothing alike. Both are excellent, deep, rich bourbons. The price makes OGD114 quite a steal though.

Especially in Pennsylvania, where they closed it out at 13 and change.

closed it out state-wide?!

I think I'd have been on a mini-road trip scooping them up. I might get two bottles of it a year, but at 13 bucks, Id have stocked myself for years!
