Manhattans...Bourbons or Ryes?
Posted: Mon Mar 03, 2014 11:11 pmIf I am not in the mood for bourbon straight I usually go to a Manhattan. I have found the spicier whiskeys are the best for these which I believe is more of a traditional thought. If I come across a bourbon I don't care like as much I will use it in a Manhattan and usually it tastes better.
My question is what do people who like Manhattan use?
My "go to" is Bulleitt Rye but I have recently tried WT Rare Breed and find it very good as a Manhattan but is just to spicy neat.
Does anyone have any other whiskeys that they have tried?
