Liked the old stuff at 101...I see they've lowered it to 90..I think I'll pass as it souinds like they diluted it enough to change the taste...I hate when they mess up a good thing!!

When I last visited the distillery, I asked why they diluted it down to 90 proof. I was told that us young people can't handle the flavor of strong whiskey. Well, they hadn't met me yet. It's the opinion of the people at the distillery that the 101 was much better than the 90 proof, but they hope to sell more of the 90 to those with weaker palates than mine. Again, as with Eagle Rare Single Barrel, it's about money and marketing. More diluted, more bottles, more money, etc.
