Unread postby Brewer » Tue Nov 14, 2006 10:32 am

Be sure to read today's one and only posting in the Industry News forum. I've highlighted the really important stuff!

There's also mention of member Dave G. right off the bat. Out of all the people at WhiskeyFest, I wonder what Dave was up to that got him mentioned in this article???

I had no idea the gent was from Newsweek. I was having a conversation with Parker about the merits of Rye whiskey when the reporter overheard
us and asked a few questions.

This was later in evening and luckily I was still able to communicate effectively.

300 Bottles

Wow. 300 Bottles!

I thought I was doing pretty good at close to 60. I've got some work to do. My wife is going to kill me.

I would love to talk to Parker Beam.

I thought the name sounded familiar. Ron Givens is the guy who wrote the book Bourbon at Its Best. A quick Google shows that he writes for some of the drinks industry trade publications and seems to also write about beer.

We've never crossed paths, to the best of my knowledge.

Dave,
Don't sell yourself short - you are always a very aticulate guy, even when drinking with Howie! I am sure that they interviewed a person that is as knowledgable as they could have found at whiskeyfest.

Great article for LaNell as well Congrats to you both.
