Bourbon Tasting Results For 3-29-06

Unread postby Bourbon Joe » Wed Mar 29, 2006 9:43 pm

Here are the tasting results for 3-29-06. This was our first "vertical" tasting. We sampled EWSB '94, '95 and '96. There was no overall concensus on a clear winner.

Joe,
You said there was clear winner (by that I assume you mean best), but how about the flavor profiles? Were they different or would you consider them very consistant? If they were different, what were the differences?

Mike,
Ours is a blind tasting where we each vote to pick the best whiskey. As all six people would describe the bourbons differently, we don't get into the fine points of describing the whiskies, we just strive to pick the best of the three on that particular day. My recollection was that all three EWSB's were different. I'll just let it go at that since it was too long ago to remember subtle taste differences.
