I'm posting this because I thought you might enjoy seeing the results of a (blind) tasting of some pretty good whiskies. See attached.

Hey Joe,

That Tribute is mighty fine bourbon, and held its own very nicely against some good competition. I'm just suprised that Hirsch didn't get any votes as number 1.

Do you guys include any supporting notes to go with your rankings? It would be cool if you did to include them with the numbers, just to see what the group was thinking.

No supporting notes. Everyone votes his "gut" feelings and does not elaborate. That's fine with me, as I believe everyone has their own idea of why something is better than something else. The results stand on their own.

Nothing shocks me anymore when you're making blind tastings / compairisons. It's always educational. The fact that Wild Turkey's Tribute was such a strong contender is completely understandable. The fact that Jefferson's Reserve finished so well, and ahead of the much more expensive 16 year old A.H. Hirsch might have some folks questioning the outcome, but they need to do their own blind tasting.

I must say that you made excellent choices in the head-to-head trio. A very even match all the way around.
