What do you think they would pour if you order one?? Thats pretty much stealing from a person what they are doing.

I'm sure they would say, "Sorry, we don't sell that".

Have you ever been in the rickhouse Julian and found an old barrel, say 30 or even more years old that simply got lost and there was actually something left in it and tried it? I guess if you did and it was good we may have actually seen some sort of extreme rare bottling unless it was only given to family etc. Anyways, you got my question, have you ever tried product from something 30 or more years old and it actually ended up being drinkable?

Buddy Thompson is a friend of mine. He owned Glenmore/Yellowstone Distillery here in Louisville. He has some 1974 barrels that we tried a few months ago. Pretty bad. All wood. Some undrinkable. He may try and have Evan do something with those. maybe marry them with other ages. The problem with something like a 30 year old rye bourbon is that it pickes up way too much wood & char. All the balance is gone and all you taste is bourbon flavored wood. I've never tasted any of my wheated bourbon over 23 years old.

No need to Julian. Your 20 and 23 y/o are sheer perfection.
