On my shelf:

Eagle Rare 10 from our own barrel purchase
Elmer T. Lee
10yr Russell's Reserve (signed by Jimmy Russell) unopened
4 Roses barrel strength single barrel from our own barrel purchase - 35% rye, floral yeast, 109 proof
Parker's Heritage 7th x 2 although one is almost empty....can't stop myself
Eagle Rare 17 2013 unopened
Pappy 20
Pappy 15
Blantons from our own barrel purchase

We just got in 6 bottles of Black Maple Hill and thinking about picking up one of those. Haven't seen it in 6 months....very hard to come by.

Life is good,

Regarding BMH, being hard to get doesn't mean it's desirable. We should be mindful the reputation of that brand was based on whisky selected and bottled by Julian Van Winkle and the NAS stuff KBD puts out today is a far cry from that.

The shipment you received today may not be from the same batch as the last shipment, or made by the same distiller for that matter, and some members have not been pleased with the batch they got.

Squire,
Thanks for the tip...I think I'll pass on it. What do you think of the Noah's Mill?

Which batch? Noah's Mill varies as well for the same reasons.

The labels on my current stock says:

DSP-KY-78
Batch: QBC #13-90

114.3 proof

Also has an added small round sticker: San Francisco double gold 2011

Thanks,
Roscoe

DSP 78 is the number for the old Willet distillery but we already knew KBD is the producer. The other information appears to be internal KBD numbers rather than the original distillery. Perhaps someone here has a bottle from the same batch and can offer an opinion.

Does the bottle have an age statement?

With NAS all you can be sure of is the whisky is four years old.

ever had Ezra B 12 year?

I swear EB12 and Noahs Mill are different proof points of the same whiskey. I could be wrong, but thats what my taste buds told me.

I have Wild Turkey 101, Maker's Mark, George Dickel #12 and Rye, Buffalo Trace, Old Weller 107, Blanton's, Jack Daniels Single Barrel and OGDBIB.

I have my bottles for guests, Jim Beam white, Jameson, and Gentleman Jack

All bottles are open and they rotate except WT101, OGDBIB and OWA. I also make sure to always have Lagavulin 16, while obviously not bourbon, it's my favorite whisk(e)y.

I work for a family owned three store chain in NJ. Currently we offer 5 of our own barrels of bourbon, 1 rye, 1 rum, 1 American whiskey. I am one of the tasters when we pick barrels. I also get first dibs on the special releases and Pappy.
