How many vintages are there? I could only find 3 on this site, 15, 20, 23. Which would be the best to pickup? I've been hearing the 15 year old. What are your thoughts? 8-)

I might be wrong, but I think there are only three "Pappy" Van Winkle Family Reserves, the 15, 20 and 23. Besides the three "Pappy's", there's a Van Winkle Family Reserve Rye, a Van Winkle Special Reserve 12 YO, and an Old Rip Van Winkle 10 YO.

Personaly, I like the 15 the best. The 12 YO did not impress me as much as the 15 and 20, especially at the price. I have never had the chance to try the 23 YO or the Rye.

Cheers,
RG

I think the 15 year old is the best. To me, the 20 and 23 are too woody and too expensive.
