i agree with most everything you said there, LJ....except that, as much as i like KCSB (its one of my favorites)......if given the choice, i will take Booker's over it every time. I still hold Bookers to be the best ive had (but admittedly, ive got a lot to try still). Beam probably doesnt mind this dilemma though, as they are both Beam brands.

Bookers is just right-on with what I like. KCSB is a runner up......yet the fact that it is 80% the cost means i keep kcsb around though

I'm working on my first bottle of KCSB. I like it, but probably won't buy another. For the price I'd rather have Rare Breed and I don't think it's as good as Baker's.

And I've never been a fan of Booker's. Too syrupy for me.

ive never thought 'syrupy' when having a drink of Booker's. i'm too new to know how to describe stuff, but whatever Booker's is, thats what i like! it just kills me that its pushing $50 a bottle......for what it is, in bourbon terms, i think it oughtta be arond $40. at that price, id keep it around more often
