I really like the IRVIG glass from IKEA. It is a mouth-blown undersized stemless wine glass that sells for 3.99. It is sized right between a Glencairn and a tumbler.

I remembered this thread a couple weeks ago at Ikea, I picked up a couple of these glassses, man you are right, these are seriously kickass, I much prefer them to the glencairn, highly reccomended, especially considering the low price

I use brandy shifters mostly. I have several nasall issues and find a glencairn glass is difficult to find some of the aromas. The shifters give me a wider opening more so.

I have one glass that wasade for wine but does not have the stem wine glasses do. It is like a taller shot glass with a wider mouth and taller sides. It is nice because it is flat and allows the bourbon to settle in the glass and allow for an easy nose.

I will try to find a link.

Based on someones recommendation here or on the other site, I picked up a set of Ivrig glasses from Ikea. And as recommended, they rock! Stemmed glasswear is a bit dangerous around my place, lol.

I'm glad you agree. I pick up one or two every time I go to IKEA.

I have a few standard Glencarin glasses and a few of the Glencarin Canadian Whisky Rocks glasses. The are both nice and of the two I perfer the Canadian. However, my everyday go-to glass is .... drum roll....The Luigi Bormioli Michelangelo Masterpiece 13-1/4-ounce Napoleon Brandy Snifter. They cost about 6 or 7 dollars. I got mine from that big amazing bookstore online with free shipping. I really like these.

I use regular brandy snifter or a glencairn whiskey glass, definitely prefer the snifter.

I use a set of Riedels that I found at Spec's in Houston which have a profile that almost litigiously resembles the now extinct Schott Zwiesel Barrel Aged Spirits glass. I bought 10.

Now my stuff is packed in the middle of a move, so I'm adapting with a friend's glencairns.
