I have three (3) bottles of Very Very Old Fitzgerald for sale. All are in great condition and never opened. All are Bonded, 12 Year Old Straight Bourbon, 100 Proof. Made in 1963 and Bottled in 1975. Stitzel-Weller Distillery. Buy one, buy them all. Ask any questions you wish. I can also email photos. $1200 per bottle O.B.O. Shipping is extra or you can pickup just outside of Chicago.

Wow, 1200 bucks. That's about 900 more than I would be willing to pay for one. :(

It's $1150 more 'n I'd pay, but I'm a value hound - not a history buff.

You might be able to command that price if it was the 18 year but unfortunately its the more common 12 year and worth around $300-$400 a bottle.

It actually is quite rare. This is true Stitzel-Weller juice and Pappy Van Winkle himself had a hand in selecting the bourbon that went into these bottles.

I'd rather have ten cases of Barton.

Does anyone know what characteristics to expect from this bourbon? Is it similar to any more-attainable bourbons I may have tried? My favorite to date is Blanton's. I'm frankly not sure if I should open a bottle or simply sell it.

With a broken seal, I think a lot of people would not be interested for fear that the contents were tampered with at some point.
