Nice review, Mike. I haven't had any Dickel in years, and never the Barrel Select. It's $40 a bottle here. I rarely spend that much on a bottle anymore.

Aw Shucks, bunghole. t'warnt nothing. Just my usual humble display of dazzling brilliance! Can't take all the credit though, cause my dog does my editing before I submit anything and too often leaves paw marks across my thoughts. I was offered a jar of strawberry rhubarb preserves for him t'other day...........shoulda took it, even though the jar had already been partially used. Man who wanted to trade said he would have given a full jar until the dog talked so much and was disrespectful to him.

Dickel I think, is proof that whiskey is a matter of personal taste, my brother swears by Dickel, I like it, it is good whiskey but I much prefer a good bourbon, there are so many good bourbons, but the bourbon snobs really turn me off.

this barreal select goes off like gun powder and its never stops.
it's quite toasty too. I couldnt handle it at the time but I'd rate it like 95/100.
i notice its thinner then no 12.
