You must have a bad bottle Mike. I really like this bourbon and don't find anything like you're talkin' bout. In fact I had a chance to drink some of this at "barrel proof" at Barton in April and that stuff was Outstanding. I can't believe your palate and mine are all that different.

I will get another bottle sometime soon. A lot of people think 1792 is quite good. My bourbon buddy also thinks this bottle is not good.

Mike,
From your description, I would say your bottle has a very bad case of cork taint. We will try some 1792 at the Bistro and let you compare the taste.

I got another bottle of 1792.........at a different liquor store.......don't want to try another from that same case as the one I don't care for. Another review before too long.

I just couldn't stand it. I am sitting here doing a side by side nose test. There is a world of difference........the nose of this new stuff is so much gooder!! The color of the new bottle is slightly lighter, but the aroma is very, very nice!! There is something definitely amiss with the old 1792........it is going down the drain.

And the taste is excellent, excellent............I saw the Lght, I saw the Light, no more Darkness, no more Night, praise the Lord, I saw the Light!!
