I agree. Its a nice bourbon in a great looking bottle, but the value just isn't there.

Like I said,I just don't know what all the fuss over this stuff is about?

It's a very good bourbon,no doubt,but I find it very similar to Bulleit or Four Roses Small Batch in it's price range...Bulleit might have a little more rye spice...

The bottle's cool,but,it's a solid double maybe stretching into a sliding triple for me...

BT was my first real taste of Bourbon (not counting MM in my younger years)... and roughly a dozen bourbons later, it's still in my top 2, if not #1. Knob Creek is really the only brand that contends against it from the whiskies I've purchased (imo), and that is roughly $8 more per 750ml, so value is very high... again simply my opinion.

Keep in mind, I've enjoyed almost all bourbons I've sampled, JBB being the only true exception. I haven't had the pleasure of trying the Van Winkle line... been holding off until I develope my palate more, but BT is a Bourbon I can always go back to and always be impressed.
