An Auld Whisky Tale

Unread postby gillmang » Sun Apr 21, 2013 10:20 am

Tale (paraphrased) gleaned from an old tome (mid-1800's) in Google Books: a Scot, stopping in a remote inn, requested a dram of his native whisky. The serving girl proffered the same and asked the customer if he would take water. The old-timer replied, "No, lass, the man must be uncommon hard to please who is na' satisfied wi' the water already in it!".
