are there any active distilleries in Maryland?

There's a lot of history and 'lore' behind bourbon so discuss both here.

are there any active distilleries in Maryland?

it's pretty common folklore that Maryland had some of the earliest whiskey distilling on these shores, I was mentioning it to my friend in Maryland and she asked if there were any running ones currently and I had no idea. Google has turned up nothing, so I thought I'd turn to the experts ...

I did see that page, interesting stuff.

On another note as far as I know they never distilled whiskey in my state but at one time there were 22 rum distilleries (in the late 18th century) but by 1872 the last one closed, no idea if any of the buildings still stand, or where to find info on where they might be if they do.

John Corliss ran a gin distillery in Providence Rhode Island until he sold out and moved to Kentucky in 1815.
