Jefferson's Presidential Select 25 yr

There's a lot of history and 'lore' behind bourbon so discuss both here.

Does anyone have any more info on this release? I saw Jefferson's mentioning it on twitter yesterday. Hope to have a bottle on the way.

Is it wheated / rye recipe, anyone know?

It's a wheater.

Awesome... Got a bottle on order, can't wait to get it. Any more details on this release? I just heard about it yesterday and can't find anything else online.

The originals were 17 y/o. The early batches were excellent. The later batches were woody. The 18's were woody IMO. The 25 should be wood city. Hope you like wood in your bourbon.

This online article makes it look as though the 21, 25, and 30 JPS are all Rye mashbills rather than wheated.

I have the 21 and was enjoying it last night, but have not seen the 25 yet.

Jefferson offerings have been and for the most part still are rye recipe Bourbons.

Not true. The 17's and 18's were wheaters.
