Dickel Article in the C-J

Unread postby bourbonv » Wed Jan 02, 2008 10:23 am

Here is a link to an article on Dickel in the C-J. The one thing that really ticked me off is the lie about why Dickel did not use an "e" in spelling whisky on his product. He never said this in anything I have found and it reaks of the Brits using it to promote Scotch as a superior whisky which is bullsh#@.

Mike, I stayed in an area hotel for New Year's Eve, and picked up a Dickel Distillery pamphlet from its tourism rack, and noted the same story is used in it. I don't know where or when it originated, but it apparently has become part of the brand's marketing.

That's the same Associated Press story that broke two weeks ago. The CJ was just slow in picking it up.
