New to this forum and would appreciate any info on this whisky? I am led to believe this is a rye whisky. Greatly appreciated.

Copper Fox is an aged version of Belmont Farms' Virginia Lightning. It's corn whiskey that has been aged for a short time on toasted applewood chips and then barrelled for two years or more in oak. If I sip it with my eyes closed I can imagine a campfire with marshmallows, ghost stories, and pretty girls. I truly love fifteen-year-old, 107-proof Pappy Van Winkle, but it doesn't produce that kind of imagery!

Copper Fox is a Tina favorite. It is produced about 15 miles from our home. We tried to contact them for a tour, but got no response. We'll probably try again soon, though. Glad you're enjoying your new acquisition!
