The Irishman Cask Strength Irish Whiskey

I am not aware of any other cask strength Irish Whiskey......... although there may be some. It is bottled at 112 proof. In the nose there is no hint of that proof, but the malt bursts forth brilliantly, even though there is a lot of delicacy and softness there too. Some nice apple aromas waft out, along with some coconut cream and buttery vanilla. The taste is a deep rich and thick affair, with the aforementioned aromas perfectly transitioned into the mouth. A first rate whiskey that holds all the flavors, along with a cleansing spicy and semi citrus finish.

Sounds very good. I like the regular brand which is a blend of a single pot still Irish and an Irish single malt (something I made on my own for years before seeing this commercial version).

Connemara does also issue a CS version of this brand.

Right Gary, I like Irish Whiskey very much........ it takes sweetness, and softness, and delicacy, to their rightful limits. I will be about experimenting with the best proof for this Cask Strength (for my palate, of course).

I just picked up a cask strength 12 year old Red Breast. It is fantastic!

Agreed. I liked their regular 12YO a lot but the cask strength version took a great whiskey and sent it over the top. Excellent pour. A little pricey and tricky to find but worth the effort.
