Purchased at:Gift from Distillery
Info on this bottle:Small Batch Bourbon
Nose:Honey and apples with a bit of caramel and pecans or hazelnuts. After breathing for a while ite is almost like a caramel apple danish right out of the oven. A co-worker said it smells like "Fall in a Bottle".
Taste:A little young, but with some sweet corn, apple fruit and caramel/honey flavors. Not much wood tannins, but still a nice nutty flavor of pecans or hazelnuts.
Finish:Long and sweet with apple fruit and caramel. Just a hint of wood tannins in the finish.
Overall:This is a really good craft Bourbon from a true Master Distiller, Steve Nally. It is a wheated Bourbon but all of the grain was grown in Wyoming and the water is Wyoming mountain water. I am curious about the yeast strain Steve used to make this whiskey.
