Review from Birdo (BourbonEnthusiast Review ID 2119, Created:20120914121641, Updated:20120918144440) Purchased at: | Cox's Spirit Shop | Purchased for: | $18.99/750ml | Nose: | Floral and fruit | Taste: | Complex bourbon with a lot of charactrer. Fruit with nice spice. | Finish: | Easy to enjoy mouth feel with carmel finish. | Overall: | I avoided this one for a long time because its only 80 proof and I thought all 80's were youngish and bad, my mistake. This stuff is aged properly and very good. Compares to many small batch bourbons for less money. I do think they should bottle at 86 proof. |

Review from boneuphtoner (BourbonEnthusiast Review ID 2092, Created:20120629103707, Updated:20120629103907) Purchased at: | Northridge Wine and Spirits | Purchased for: | $16 | Info on this bottle: | Standard | Nose: | Pears and other light fruits with light floral tones | Taste: | Delicious fruitiness...pears, peaches, yum, yum, yum! Fantastic mouthfeel. The sweetness is very nicely balanced with just the right amount of rye spiciness. | Finish: | Rather short, but not in a bad way | Overall: | The best 80 proof bourbon I've ever tried in my lifetime. Everything is in perfect balance. Certainly not a challenging bourbon, but I think I will always stock this in the future. |

Review from Attila (BourbonEnthusiast Review ID 1470, Created:20090208003937) Purchased at: | Seijo Ishi | Info on this bottle: | Standard Japan Bottling | Nose: | Light pleasant floral oak aromas | Taste: | Mellow leather, wood, and floral flavors. Nothing complex, but pleasant. Neither sweet, nor particularly dry or bitter. At 80%, it works nicely for drinking straight, but is a bit simple for that. | Finish: | The finish is mild and not long lasting. | Overall: | Surprisingly light yellow color. |

Purchased at: | N/A | Purchased for: | N/A | Info on this bottle: | Sampled in a restaurant in Spain after a chicken dinner. | Proof Of this Bottle: | 80 | Nose: | Full of golden summer fruits and light spice | Taste: | First, the mouthfeel is really good. Full yet light, round, perfectly balanced. The taste is fruity again, with more than hints of peaches and apricots. Some pleasant wood extract backs the fruit and the sweet. Very light smoke. | Finish: | Quite short but in the best possible way. The drink introduces himself and stays a courteous amount of time but does not wear out his welcome. | Overall: | Top quality indeed. Was this bottle improved by the cross-world transit? Maybe. Maybe too Four Roses chose especially well for the export market. Whatever is the explanation, this is a dram that exceeds most glasses of bourbon I'd had in my time. |

Purchased at: | A secret - you can't get it in GA - Would you believe it if I told you my dog found it? | Info on this bottle: | Standard Bottle | Proof Of this Bottle: | 80 | Nose: | Peaches, oranges, and other fruit pop right up......along with corn, spice, a touch of vanilla and oak. The aromas open the nose and make it happy. | Taste: | Soft and almost delicate upon entry. The deep flavors skip over the front of the mouth only to break out in the middle and toward the back. The sweetness, unlike with most bourbons, also holds off until mid-palate. And the spices are ably assisted by the fruit, particularly the sweet orange. | Finish: | I agree with Mike Veach's assessment of the finish. It is strong, unexpected and very balanced and full flavored! | Overall: | A very good and interesting nose. As you taste it, the flavors build their way across the mouth and never lose their balance. I could almost mistake this for an excellent, expensive and quite lively Canadian whiskey. A keeper for sure and one I will want to try with some friends. |
