Review from libertybar (BourbonEnthusiast Review ID 1099, Created:20080601203137) | Purchased at: | Chicago. | | Nose: | Very sweet, rich and hot. | | Taste: | Outstanding. This is certainly an outstanding whiskey - the Old Commonwealth has a huge body, with a rich, sweet start that lasts for a long time. | | Finish: | What's left is a touch of the oak, with the same body that lasts a long time. | | Overall: | Easily the Old Commonwealth is one of the best bourbons that I have tasted, and I put it up with the Pappy 23, Willet and other outstanding bourbons. |
