This is really mouth-watering and makes me wanna take a big sip. | | Taste: | After an initial “alcohol burn”, spices takeover and dominate the show. A faint taste of apples is detectable. | | Finish: | The finish is sooo long. At first Café Latte / Coffee chocolate take command. In comes a dry / woody quality. Several minutes after a sip the Whiskey is still present. All of a sudden my mouth is filled with a reminiscence of Berry Tea. Just fantastic | | Overall: | I think the Nose and the Finish really take this Rye in to the High End Class, whereas the Taste while good doesn’t live up to the expectations I have based on the excellent Nose. I think this whiskey is best in really small sips. |
